19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden title for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult period, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
It is his initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from that period of the previous year.
Success also means Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
His counter-punching approach and recurring reactions on court had prompted commentators to doubt if his ability to play at the top level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning 4 of the final five games to go ahead.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He rescued 4 early chances in a close deciding set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet failing to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
